Welcome to Raising Godly Children! If you’ve been a longtime fan of the site, you know that in the past we’ve typically featured previously published work (with due credit & links, of course). The goal was to provide a database of sorts for solid Christian resources on parenting and marriage. The site and Facebook page has grown significantly since then, causing us to consider how we could best use the resources God has provided. Is merely re-publishing old material the way to go, or could RGC become a catalyst & platform for solid Christian writers to publish new material and get exposure for their own ministries on our social media sites?
With that in mind, as you’ve likely noticed, we’ve gone in a different direction. Not only have we shifted from previously published material to brand-new articles, we’ve also completely revamped the site, which included a shift from Blogger to WordPress. (If the formatting on some of the older articles look a little odd, it’s because of the transition!) This revamp will accomplish several things, the two most important of which are – 1.) A shift to the 21st century. Blogger sites look old and dated and lack so many features that WordPress doesn’t. 2.) Author ease. The new site will allow us to feature our writers below their articles and link to an archive where folks can see all submissions from their favorite writers on the site. Writers will also be able to submit content for review on the back end.
We hope you enjoy the new site design as well as the new content we’ll be bringing you every week. Please also consider joining our community and contributing via the comment section, our Facebook page, and even on Twitter as well.
