For the Christian it has often been said that physical strength is what a person can carry, but spiritual strength is what a person of faith can bear. E.S.P for the person of faith stands for emotional, spiritual and physical strength. All three types of strength must work together in the life of the mature Christian. As parents, it may seem difficult to keep it all together and stay healthy emotionally, spiritually and physically, but it is vital to keep all “3” in top shape.
Emotional strength – How do we stay fit emotionally? Emotions have an enormous impact on our health as well, and this is often one strength that as women we seem to fall short on. The weight of the world often seems to be upon us, and family issues hit us hard in our hearts. We are emotional and sensitive, and desire to make all things “right.” We all desire for our family to be happy, healthy and faith-filled. But often, trials take its toll and we must keep our hearts and minds on Christ.
Our spiritual strength is the ultimate strength, because it is not coming “from” anything we can do, but it is coming from what Jesus is doing within us.
