“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Deuternomy 6:4-9, ESV
” Find a way to place beautiful peices of art in your home that
will engage your children’s eyes in the worship of Almighty God and remind them of
who, and whose, they are.

We have decided to mark our home as God’s territory.
As each of us is out and about our day I want to be able to come
home and be reminded of God’s faithfulness and find rest in Him.
Scripture is powerful (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
and I want my children, myself, and my husband to be reminded of it.
Not only does scripture tell us to mark our homes with it,
but I want my children to remember our home and everything in
it that helped them grow in their faith.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path
Psalm 119:105, ESV
Thank you for this. I have been struggling because I had a home organizer come assist our family and she asked my children not to speak of God in our home in her presence. The verse above was the one I was looking for to explain to her that what she is asking is contradictory to our faith. Please pray that I can approach this appropriately and that my response will be honoring to God and will draw her closer to Him.
